Product Update & Bug Fixes
October 7, 2026
Expenses & Budget
Receipts now show when something's attached Expenses with a receipt attached now display a paperclip icon, so you can tell at a glance which ones have documentation without opening each one.
Filter expenses by status The Budget page now has a filter for expense status, so you can narrow the list down without scrolling through everything.
Events
"Hide from Discover" is back The option to hide a private event from the Discover view is available again in Advanced Options when creating an event.
Back-dated events You can now create an event with a date in the past. A back-dated event can be approved for tracking purposes, but invites won't go out for it.
Event admins now show on the event details page You no longer need to open Edit Event to see who's running an event. Admins and planning leads for an approved event are shown directly on the event details page.
Admin & Permissions
Custom titles for group and chapter admins Admins can now be given a title, like "Co-Chair," instead of just the generic Admin label. The Manage Permissions, Edit Role, and Remove actions have also been consolidated into one place.
Resources
Add videos by pasting a link The Videos tab now accepts a URL in addition to direct file upload, so you're not limited by the 50MB upload cap for larger recordings.
Reliability
Zoom agenda field now validates length before sending Zoom caps meeting agendas at 2,000 characters. If your agenda content goes over that limit, you'll now get a heads up instead of the update silently failing to apply.
Off-boarded members are removed more reliably When your HR system marks someone inactive, Chezie now reflects that more reliably, so people who've left your organization don't continue to show up as active members or admins.
Expense & Reimbursement Updates, Plus Fixes
September 28, 2026
Here's what's new in Chezie, plus a few fixes.
Expenses & Reimbursements
-
Description templates - Admins can now set up reusable description templates for expenses and events. When someone submits one, the description field pre-fills from the template, so people aren't starting from a blank box every time.
-
Activity feed - Every expense, event, and communication now has a timestamped activity feed showing who did what and when, right on the record itself.
-
Variance display - Expense detail views now show planned versus actual amounts side by side, with a visual indicator when you're over or under.
Budget overview back on the Budget tab - The budget overview is now visible directly on the Budget tab again, no extra click over to Reporting required.
Fixes
Event approver emails now go out reliably We fixed an issue where approval-request emails for events weren't reaching every approver. Event approvers are now explicitly assigned by an admin rather than getting auto-populated, so if you haven't set approvers on your teams yet, now's a good time to check.

Add to Calendar on Discover View
August 21, 2026
Add an event to your calendar
You can add an event directly from Discover. Every event card in Discover has an Add to Calendar button. Click it to add the event to your calendar; you do not need to track down the original invite.
The Add to Calendar button appears only after calendar invites have actually been sent for the event. If an event has been approved but is not appearing on the ERG calendar, the organizer should open the event and click Send Invites. Once the invites are sent, the event can be added from Discover.
Resource Library on Group & Chapter Pages
August 21, 2026
Every group and chapter now has a place to store its files, links, and media, right on its landing page.
Admins can upload and organize resources across four types: Photos, Documents, Links, and Videos, from the group or chapter's Settings. Give a resource a name, add a file or a link, and set a thumbnail if you want one. It shows up right away on the group's Resources tab for members to browse, open, and download.
A few things worth knowing:
- Admins can drag to reorder resources within each tab, and that order is what members see.
- Chapters get their own resource library, separate from their parent group's.
- Members can view and download but can't add, edit, or reorder. Resource management stays with admins.
For customers who have migrated from our legacy platform, don't worry, your original resources were migrated!
Event Waitlists
August 4, 2026
You can now cap RSVPs on any event and let Chezie manage the overflow automatically.
Set the number of available spots when you create an event, and once it's full, new sign-ups are placed on a waitlist. If a confirmed attendee drops out, everyone on the waitlist is notified at once — first to return and claim it gets the spot.
A few things worth knowing:
- Enabling a waitlist turns off automatic invites — after your event is approved, send yours from the Communications tab.
- To cancel, use Drop from Event in Chezie. Deleting the event from your personal calendar doesn't release your spot.
- Waitlisted members aren't notified if an event is canceled — organizers will need to email them directly.

Product Update & Bug Fixes
August 4, 2026
Since the v3 migration kicked off, we've been closing the gaps between the legacy platform and the new one. Here's what shipped in the last two weeks.
Events
Make a copy of an event You can now make a copy of any event from the event actions menu. The copy carries over the name, description, cycle, goal, host, co-hosts, organizer, calendar, and invite list — then drops in as a draft scheduled one week out, so you can tweak and re-send recurring events without rebuilding them from scratch.
Create and approve events without a calendar connected If you use Chezie to track events you host rather than to send calendar invites, you're no longer blocked. Events can now be created, saved as drafts, and approved without a Google or Microsoft calendar connected. When a calendar is connected it's auto-selected as the organizer as before; when it isn't, you can still approve and report on the event with invite-sending simply turned off.
Self-serve attendance upload Admins can now upload historical or manual event attendance data directly in the platform — no more emailing the support team to get it in. This is especially useful for teams that don't have their calendar integration live yet.
Groups & Sharing
Copy a shareable link to any group's landing page The "share with a colleague" workflow from the old platform is back. Each group's landing page now has a copy-link option so members can pass a group's page along directly.
Communications
Sorting in the Communications module Sorting now works beyond the Members module. You can sort the Communications module the same way you already sort members, making it easier to find and manage sends.
Forms
Clickable links in join form descriptions Paste a URL into a join form question description and it now renders as a clickable hyperlink — no more copying and pasting links out to open them.
More on the way as we continue closing the gap with the legacy platform. Questions or something you're missing? Let us know.
