Connect your company's Google Calendar account to distribute meeting invites to guests and track people's responses to calendar invites
How the Google Calendar integration is used
The Chezie Google Calendar integration allows you to:
Create events and distribute calendar invites to the people invited to the event (in-group members, all employees, etc.)
Update calendar invitiations if an event is changed
Cancel calendar invitiations if an event is cancelled
Track user responses to calendar invites (accepted invite, declined invite, tentative, etc.
To use Google Calendar, you will need to create a generic ERG user account under your company's Google Admin dashboard (i.e. ERGS@chezie.co).
Scopes
Please note that the scopes below are only granted for the service account you use for the Chezie integration. We do not access profiles for any other Google accounts within your organization.
Scope | Description | Additional detail |
.../auth/userinfo.email | See your primary Google Account email address
.../auth/userinfo.profile | See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available
.../auth/calendar.events | View and edit events on all your calendars | To create, update, and cancel events from our application. Changes made within Chezie will reflect in the calendar event on the user's calendar and update the invites that have been sent to attendees. |
How to connect your Google Calendar account
To connect your Google Calendar, follow these instructions:
Switch to admin view
Click Settings → Integrations

Sign in with your generic ERGs email (i.e. ERGs@chezie.co) and click "Allow" to allow Chezie to access the calendar.
Done!
How to Handle Authorization Error: “Error 400: admin_policy_enforced”
If a Chezie user tries to link their service accounts, they may receive an error message stating an Authorization issue with the code "Error 400: admin_policy_enforced". It's important to note that this error is unrelated to Chezie itself, but rather stems from the restrictions set by a G Suite administrator to limit access to Google Workspace data by third-party applications.
In order to fix the error, the G-Suite administrator must grant access to Chezie. If you have access to the Google Admin console using your account, you can make these changes yourself. Otherwise, please reach out to the administrator of your organization and request them to follow these steps.
Follow the steps below in order to manage the authorization error and access your Chezie integrations.
If a user attempts to connect a Chezie integration on their GSuite domain and encounters an 'Authorization Error' as shown below

The Admin user should log into their Google GSuite/Workspace Admin console, navigate to the Security section in the menu bar > select API Controls > and then click on Manage Third-party App Access

Click on “Add App” and then “OAuth App Name Or Client ID“

Type in the search bar “Chezie“

Choose the option to authorize all apps

Select the radio button for “all users” under Scope

Mark app as trusted

Click on the Finish button under Review

This should resolve the Authorization issues experienced.
