How the Azure SAML is used

Azure SAML SSO is the means by which your employees are authenticated to Chezie. Benefits of using Azure SAML SSO include:

  1. User Convenience: Simplified login with a single set of credentials.

  2. Enhanced Security: Strong authentication and reduced password risk.

  3. Centralized Access Control: Unified management of access policies.

  4. Improved Productivity: Faster and seamless access to applications.

  5. Compliance: Helps meet regulatory and security requirements.

  6. Cost Savings: Reduces support and password-related costs.

  7. Customization: Allows for branding and user interface customization.

How to Configure SAML SSO in Microsoft Azure

To configure SAML SSO in Microsoft Azure, follow these steps:

  1. Create and Register an Application: Register an application in Azure AD that will represent your SAML SSO integration. This application will be used to configure the SAML settings and permissions.

  1. Establish a SAML SSO method: Within the newly created app and under Single sign-on, select SAML.

  1. Configure SAML Settings and Mapping: In the application's settings, locate the SAML settings section. Provide the necessary information such as the Identifier (Entity ID), Reply URL, and Sign-On URL. These values will be provided by Chezie. This step involves mapping the user attributes from Azure AD to the corresponding SAML attributes required by Chezie.

Required attributes are first name, last name, email Please map these values as first_name, last_name, and email, respectively.

  1. Download and Share Metadata: Download the SAML XML metadata file from Azure AD. This file contains the necessary information about your SAML SSO integration. Share this metadata file with Chezie.

  1. Test and Verify: Test the SAML SSO configuration by initiating a login request from Chezie. Ensure that users can authenticate successfully and that the required user attributes are passed correctly.

  2. Enable SSO: Once the SAML SSO configuration is tested and verified, enable SSO for the desired users or groups. This step ensures that users are redirected to the SAML SSO login page when accessing the Chezie team via email.

By following these steps, you can successfully configure SAML SSO in Microsoft Azure for your integration with Chezie. Remember to consult the documentation and support resources provided by both Azure and Chezie for more detailed instructions and troubleshooting guidance.
