Group leaders can now access the Zoom host key directly from the event page in Chezie, giving them full control over meetings started from the shared Zoom service account.

What is a Zoom Host Key?

A Zoom host key is a 6-digit code that allows a participant to claim host control in a Zoom meeting. You should use it when you select Zoom for your virtual meeting within Chezie.

Using the host key gives group leaders access to advanced Zoom features like:

  • Managing participants

  • Controlling screen sharing

  • Starting and ending the meeting

  • Managing breakout rooms

The Zoom Host Key remains static across all events. This will not change unless updated within the service accountโ€™s Zoom settings.

How to Access the Host Key in Chezie

  1. Go to the Events tab and click into the event you're hosting via Zoom.

  2. Youโ€™ll see a Host Key section on the event page.

  3. Click Copy Zoom host key to grab the key before the meeting starts.

Note: The host key is only visible for events that are using the Zoom integration with your companyโ€™s connected service account.

How to Use the Host Key in Zoom

  1. Join the Zoom meeting using the provided meeting link.

  2. Click Participants in the Zoom toolbar.

  3. At the bottom of the Participants panel, click Claim Host.

  4. Enter the 6-digit host key copied from Chezie, then click Claim Host.

You will now have full host privileges and can manage the meeting as needed.
